Hailing from Reading, the spiritual home of Shoegaze, Viscous Liquid is the musical brainchild of Rhys Williams. A solitary cosmonaut, writing and recording (late at night in a dimly lit basement on the most primitive of equipment) a somewhat lo-fi brand of melody rich, spacey pop music.

Brought up with the likes of MBV, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive and early 90’s American indie as a constant background noise, “these sounds became ingrained and twisted inside a young and impressionable mind until they congealed into an amalgam filling the void between left and right ears. Eventually though, like a lake full of water pushing on the walls of a poorly built dam, the mass of melody and ideas this music inspired had to breach at some point…”
